How does it work?

Always at your own pace

Once you have completed the form and sent your message, I will get in touch with you to plan the first assessment session. The length of this session will either be 50 or 70 minutes, depending on whether it is an individual or couple therapy session.

The fees for this session are £50 for individuals and £65 for couples. During this session, we will all have the opportunity to get to know each other and determine whether we can form a positive working relationship and how I may support you.

At the assessment session, we will also discuss the duration of the therapy journey based on your specific needs. This can be an open-ended therapy journey or a set of 12 weekly appointments.

If at any point during the first four sessions you feel that therapy is not working for you, you may terminate the therapy without the need for additional ending sessions.

Couples Therapy

Who is couples or relationship counselling for? Vasia Toxavidi says this therapy is for those who want to make a difference in their relationship and within themselves. “It can offer a couple, or an individual, space to explore their feelings and reflect on their relationship and interaction patterns,” she says. “It can help you resolve past relationship trauma and loss, and understand why you behave as you do in intimate relationships.” "It’s for all couples of all ages and at all stages of their relationship not just for those in crisis," adds Arabella. “We service our cars on a regular basis, why not give our relationships a regular fine tune too?”

Transactional Analysis and individual Therapy

Founded by Eric Berne in the late 1950s, TA therapy is based on the theory that each person has three ego-states: parent, adult and child. These are used along with other key transactional analysis concepts, tools and models to analyse how individuals communicate and to identify what interaction is needed for a better outcome.

Throughout therapy, I will work with you on problem-solving behaviours, whilst helping  to develop day-to-day tools for finding constructive, creative solutions. The ultimate goal is to ensure you regain absolute autonomy over your life.

Eric Berne defines this autonomy as the recovery of three vital human capacities - spontaneity, awareness and intimacy.
